Cardiology Associates of Palm Beach Mission Statement

The practice was founded in 1978 by Dr. Richard Kachel, one of the first board-certified cardiologists in Palm Beach County. It Dr. Richard Kachel, founding physician of Cardiology Associates has grown to include ten board-certified cardiologists, who trained in the top cardiac programs in the U.S. and abroad, and two experienced R.N.s.

The practice treats patients in their Atlantis (Lake Worth) and West Palm Beach offices, and at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, and John F. Kennedy Hospital in Atlantis (Lake Worth) .

Dr. Michael Ray has served as Chief of Cardiology at JFK Medical Center for more than 20 years and is a member of its Board of Trustees. Dr. Robert Chait, Dr. Diego Sadler and Dr. Gary Shifrin have served on the Executive Committee of JFK Medical Center. Dr. Richard Kachel and Dr. Norman Erenrich have served as directors of the Division of Cardiology at Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Dr. Erenrich has served on the Executive Committee of Good Samaritan Medical Center and as Chairman of its Medical Staff and a member of its Board of Trustees.

Several of the physicians have active faculty appointments at the University of Miami and the newly-established medical school at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Gary Shifrin is a sought-after and experienced speaker to local and national physician audiences on a variety of medical topics. Dr. Chait is the Medical Director for Cardiovascular Services at JFK Medical Center.
