Cardiology Associates of Palm Beach has advanced Nuclear Cardiology Imaging laboratories at both the West Palm Beach office and the Atlantis offices.The laboratories have been certified by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories. Only a handful of laboratories in the state have achieved this designation.

The laboratories are staffed by certified nuclear technologists and supervised by our cardiologists  Dr. Sadler, Dr. Marunowska, and Dr. Deac, who are board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology.

The group owns and operates two dual head SPECT Siemens E Cam and C Cam systems with state of the art University of Michigan 4 D software work stations.  Our laboratories are certified and annually inspected by the state of Florida.

The images obtained in combination with exercise and pharmacological stress testing give very important information about blood flow in the heart muscle, and can help to detect blockages in the coronary arteries utilizing a non-invasive method.  In many circumstances these images can show normal blood flow in the heart muscle and avoid unnecessary hospitalizations and invasive procedures.
