Please return at a later date to view information regarding Cardiology Associates staff of dedicated nurse practitioners.
Nurse practitioners are RNs with advanced training and masters degrees.
They see established (but not new) patients in coordination with physicians, providing follow-up for patients with hypertension, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias and other cardiovascular conditions or symptoms.
Nurse practitioners are an important patient resource for cardiac information and guidance.
When they see patients there is always a physician available; should ANY concerns arise patients are evaluated by a staff physician as well.
Nurse practitioners manage testing and dosing of anticoagulation treatment for patients who need “blood-thinning” treatment with warfarin (Coumadin) for a variety of cardiovascular problems.
