Dr. Shifrin is Assistant Clinical Professor on the faculty of the University of the Miami Miller School of Medicine at the Florida Atlantic University’s Boca Raton campus. He is also a Principal Investigator on several international cardiovascular research trials involving treatment of congestive heart failure, hypertension, dyslipidemia and coronary artery diseases.

Dr. Shifrin is a popular medical liaison for local newspaper and television stations.
He is a board-certified, clinical cardiologist, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Heart Association.

Dr. Shifrin has served on the Council of Clinical Cardiology of the American Heart Association, and was on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach Chapter. He also was a Councilor for the Florida Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
